Day 1: Arrival in Kigali Rwanda for your tour of Kigali city and the surrounding areas.

You will be picked up from Kigali Hotel/Lodge by our Congo safari guide, give you a short briefing about your safari in Congo. You will then drive towards the southwestern part of Rwanda driving through the rolling hills and gorgeous scenery to Changugu Rwanda- Congo border. If you arrive on time, you will do a Kigali city tour visiting the genocide site in Butare, the National Museum of Rwanda here and the King’s palace if time allows. You will have lunch in Kigali and after continue to Lake Kivu; Rwanda’s freshest water body and one of the largest lakes in Africa. Transfer to your chosen accommodation in the evening relax, have dinner and spend your overnight.

Day 2: Transfer to Bukavu in Democratic Republic of Congo.

In the morning, after your breakfast at your hotel, you will be picked by your driver guide from your hotel in Kigali and drive southwards to Cyangugu boarder crossing to Bukavu in Congo. You will have wonderful views of the hills in Rwanda through the tropical forest of Nyungwe National park and a clear view of Lake Kivu. Check in at your hotel, have lunch and relax.

Day 3: Do a Lowland Gorilla tracking tour in Kahuzi Biega National Park Congo

Very early in the morning, you will head to the park headquarters for your memorable safari adventure of tracking the lowland gorillas in Kahuzi Biega National park. The park rangers will give you a briefing about the activity and after they will lead you to the forest for your tracking activity. Lowland gorillas tracking is very amazing and very memorable. The time taken to meet these apes is unpredictable since they live in the wild and freely move in their natural habitat, and this requires a reasonable degree of fitness. Once you meet them, you will enjoy and forget all the troubles you have gone through and utilize the one hour you are allowed to stay with the gorillas as you observe their behaviors as well as taking as photos of them.
